Our adversary the devil wants NOTHING good for us.His plans are always to steal,kill and destroy our lives,wealth,relationships
To do this,he must be able to separate us from the promises of God.The promises of health,wealth,family well being,peace and Joy have already been released to us,but why is it that not all of us experience this divine blessings??
It is because the devil has managed to re introduce the law into the hearts and minds of children of faith.
Romans 3 13 to 15 states "It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring(All believers) received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the RIGHTEOUSNESS THAT COMES BY FAITH. 14 For if those who depend on the LAW are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is WORTHLESS, 15 because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.
The only way to make the promises of God useless and worthless is by depending on the law.It is the best way to make faith void and God's power severely restricted in moving and impacting our lives.Therefore Don't you think the devil would as much as possible ensure people teach on the law and ten commandments as a way to please God and achieve righteousness?
Friends,the gospel is not about what you can or should be doing for God.It is not about your daily confession of sins,you sacrificing your joy and happiness to live a boring,pitiful and secluded lifestyle(no offense to priests and nuns)
It has never been about how long you fast,how hard you pray or how many verses of the bible you read per week.
Neither is it about how many souls you win for the kingdom nor how much you tried to be obedient to the ten commandments.
The gospel is not about your deeds.
It is all about Christ's obedience on the cross at calvary.It is not about your obedience to the law Galatians 2 16"For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law."but it is only by righteousness of faith(Believing in the finished work of Christ)that you are made eternally righteous in God's eyes.
Definitely there is a lesson in hell that demons must learn.One that teaches them to re introduce the law and make human efforts the central focus in the church instead of having Christ and His finished work at the centre.
This way,faith is made void and the promises of God become of no effect,romans 4 13 14.
