WHY THE MAINSTREAM CHURCH LACKS LOVE,PATIENCE,KINDNESS AND ALL THE FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Galatians 5 22 "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law(context,no need for the ten commandments). "
There is no need to tell a man full of self control not to steal nor teach one full of love not to commit adultery.
Friends,the church will never see the fruits of the Holy Spirit manifest among the congregation until the day the true gospel is preached.The root to the fruit of the Holy Spirit is the the pure gospel preached without mixture(pure grace).
No amount of will power will ever give you the best of what God has for you.Self help books(10 steps to get self control,15 ways to love,how to be happy)This titles are ok for the world,but we believers have a much better deal.
So pastors and leaders,learn to reveal Jesus Christ,His love and the gift of eternal righteousness that has been freely given to the church.Stop condemning them and telling them to "work more"to please God.
Christianity does not work that way.Focus on Jesus and let the Holy Spirit transform the people inside out(2cor 3 18)so in the end,only God gets the glory.
