HOW DARE YOU CALL THE ALMIGHTY GOD..."DAD"
Some preachers get really angry when they hear a congregant call God by the name"dad"
You have to wonder if they(the preacher) read their bibles..anyway
Friends let's make this clear.Yes it is very scriptural and accurate to call God your "daddy."Do not let these modern day pharisees separate you from the love your heavenly father so freely bestows upon you.
romans 8 15
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again(like in the old covenant); rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."
galatians 4 6
And because WE ARE HIS CHILDREN, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, "Abba, Father."
The word "Abba" (as a hebrew word and not the 70s band ) is a term of great endearment and affection in which a child(son or daughter)would refer to their earthly father.Whatever you called or still call your earthly father,"daddy" "dad" "pa"whatever the name of endearment is what God wants you to refer to Him.
Religion distances you from God,but true christianity breaks all blockades and brings you to the embrace of the father.
So there is nothing wrong with calling God "dad" infact something is wrong when you do not as galatians 4 6 and romans 8 15 have shown.
Yes God is creator,God is All knowing and All powerful but most importantly,He is your daddy.
