HOW CAN YOU LIVE A HOLY LIFE WITHOUT THE TEN COMMANDMENTS?This question always comes up when the true gospel is preached.How do you expect people to live a holy and upright life without the ten commandments.
Abraham lived without the ten commandments and God called him his friend.Joseph lived without the ten commandments and was able to resist potiphar's(definitely hot)wife but David lived under the ten commandments and failed on an arguably easier temptation compared to Joseph.
Friends look at Galatians 3 19 "Why, then, was the law given? It was given alongside the promise to show people their sins. But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the child who was promised. "
There you have it,from the bible itself,the law was to given to show man that they cannot get to God by their own works and deeds and it was to last only until the coming of the Son.
But how am I to live my life without the ten commandments?romans 7 6"But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
