JOB MUST NEVER BE USED AS AN EXAMPLE OF A BELIEVER'S SUFFERING TODAY..NEVER
Friends
Many pastors and leaders have severely misinterpreted the sufferings of Job and say things like."Suffer patiently like Job,be like Job and prove your faith to God"
Am sure most of them meant well but we cannot excuse misuse of scriptures. So Let's clarify the "Be strong and suffer like Job issue today.
There is no way christians can use Job as an example for their sufferings. This is simply because Job lived before Jesus died on the cross.Job himself amidst his suffering cries out saying in Job 9 33 saying"If only there were a MEDIATOR between us, someone who could bring us together."What do you think he is talking about???
He is talking about Jesus. He wishes there was someone to bring God and man together and therefore avert such suffering.Job's dream is our reality
Look at 1 timothy 2 5 "For there is one God and one MEDIATOR between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people.Job wished to have Jesus but unfortunately for him he lived waaaaay before Jesus time on earth.
Again in hebrews 12 24 Jesus is mentioned as your mediator. to "Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel." (blood of abel cried of judgement for Cain his brother, while the blood of Jesus cries forgiveness once and for all for those who believe)
Therefore do not let Job be a lesson to you of suffering or whatever
The major lesson in fact is without Jesus you are vulnerable to attacks from the devil but with Christ you are heavily protected as a child of God.
The blood of Jesus had not yet been shed for Job so his sufferings and story cannot match what we have today.Job wished for a man like Jesus....We are living his dream.Jesus is our mediator and our righteousness. We live life rightfully expecting good that we do not deserve because someone else took all our bad.
Always remember child of God.
Jeremiah 29 11"For I know the plans I have for you."declares the Lord."Plans to prosper you AND NOT TO HARM YOU."
1corinthians 10 13."God is faithful and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear."
matthew 11 30"For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
God is all FOR YOU.do not accept any diseases or any type of grievous suffering...Jesus death on the cross changed everything.
