THE BEAUTY OF OUR GOSPEL Friends
The most beautiful truth of our gospel is what makes it distinct from all other religions in the world.It is only in christianity(true)that we are made righteous and acceptable in God's eyes apart from our works.
All other religions believe in some sort of 'karma' where if you do good God will bless you but if you don't,God will curse you.Others state that if you do more good than evil in your lifetime,then you will be accepted by God.
The gospel however is much more awesome because we(believers)are made righteous in God's eyes by one man's obedience that is Jesus Christ on the cross.Therefore no amount of charity,good works,daily confessions or fasting will change God's heart of love towards us.
In the same manner,no amount of evil deeds can affect how God receives us for He does not look at us in our natural selves but He chooses to see us in Christ,perfectly righteous,eternally justified and deeply loved.
Obviously mainstream christianity has heavily perverted the gospel today that all you hear are the ten commandments and sets of rules,do's and dont's and other self help activities but the truth of the gospel is clear.It's all about Christ and His finished work and none of us and our puny works.
