The biggest heresy in the church today and for the last 2000 years has been the act of bypassing the cross.
A pastor or preacher stands on the pulpit and speaks words that make people focus on their actions,focus on their short comings,focus on their lack of obedience while the bible clearly states that our focus should be on Christ and His righteousness that has been imputed(freely given) to us via the cross.Our focus should be on His obedience that made us righteous.
The church MUST be fully Christ occupied and by doing the following,peoples lives will be transformed into the same image like that of Christ from glory to glory not by effort or will power but by the Spirit of God so that no one can boast.2 cor 3 18
The cross changed everything.Now God is not counting the world's(unbelievers) sins against them.2 cor 5 19
Pastors and leaders,we MUST never point people to their actions or to themselves but to Christ and who they are in Christ.The ten commandments were simply given to prove that man in and out of Himself could not keep them and thus needed a saviour.Galatians 3 19 22 romans 3 19 20.
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
