"PHILLIPIANS 2 12" WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING"
Many christians have been put to bondage by preachers who say things like."You have to work out your salvation,Read the bible more,pray more,give tithes more,confess your sins and then God will be pleased with you.
If you have been here for a while you know that all that is religious talk and is actually not true.Christ is our salvation and Christ alone.
So what does it mean"work out your salvation."It simply means that.The context speaks for itself..Phillipians 2 12 continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling 13 for IT IS GOD WHO WORKS IN YOU to will and to act out according to His good purposes.
God Works IN YOU first then you can work out His good works,that is what it means to work out your own salvation.
Unfortunately many people have turned this into a verse that instills fear in people.No my friend,(1john 4 18),there is no fear in love but Perfect love(God's love for you) casts out all fear,so if you are scared of God and have a sense of fear of judgement from Him,you are not hearing the true gospel.
