I must warn you whenever you think that God is to bless you because of what you do,you unconsciously fall back into the old covenant,which will lead to the usual guilt,condemnation,anger and a waste of time. Think of it this way,those who have children...does your child have to do good for you to bless him with food,shelter,clothing and all the stuff he asks.Does he have to prove himself to you so that you can get him the stuff he may ask for.Infact it does bother you if your child asks for something that is kinda out of your budget.Now we as evil as we are if we know how to do good for our children,then will not the heavenly father bless us much more?? Listen God is better than the greatest parent you can ever imagine.You may say that sin brings out the "other"side of Him.But as a believer,as His child,as a receiver of what Christ did for you on the cross,in His eyes,you are now spotless and flawlessly righteous.With this you are eligible to be blessed with every good thing the Lord has for you. Do not shy away from any blessings.Get a hot spouse,Big house and all that stuff....or wasnt Abraham,Job,David,Solomon,Daniel,Joseph just to mention afew not very wealthy among those they were with?? Remember money is not the root of all evil....BUT THE LOVE OF MONEY IS...Jesus always comes first....and the blessings will follow effortlessly.Remember this is to believers,not those who believe their good works qualifies them for blessings.
