HAS THE CHURCH GOT IT BACKWARDS??? So this woman was "caught in the act of adultery."Wonder where the man went to.Anyway when the woman was brought to Jesus,Jesus made it out that all who had gathered to stone her were sinners themselves and so they left.
However notice the words of our Lord."Neither do I condemn you....now go and sin no more."Listen.Jesus showed the woman his goodness kindness and forgiveness to the woman and then told her to go and sin no more.romans 2 4 It is the goodness of the Lord that leads us to repentance.
The same He did with zaccheaus not condemning him at all.Despite knowing very well that zaccheaus was a liar and a thief,He went to "DINE WITH SINNERS"and after that zaccheaus promised to pay four times as much as he has stolen and also help the poor.
Notice God gives us his assuring love first and then we effortlessly find ourselves walking in the right path however many times we here in our churches and in television"YOU MUST GO AND SIN NO MORE FIRST AND THEN WE WILL ACCEPT YOU BUT GOD SAYS IT SHOULD BE THE OTHER WAY AROUND,LET GOD LOVE YOU ARE FIRST.
know all your sins past present and future are forgiven and that God loves you and promises never to be angry with you again.....THEN YOU ARE EMPOWERED TO EFFORTLESSLY GO AND SIN NO MORE.
