The gay community has sadly been shunned by the church in general.You have seen "church"demonstrations saying"GOD HATES GAYS." or "GAY HIGHWAY TO HELL."This is not true.If you are a christian and you are gay,be certain that Jesus loves you.Forget what people say about you.Just know that Jesus loves you and that's all that matters. Now homosexuality is a sin.This is highlighted everywhere in the old testament and even in the new "For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due." (Romans 1:26-27).notice lesbianism is included." Now for the church to expel someone because He or she is a homosexual is not right.We as humans categorise sin.But God does not categorise sin.To God,sin is sin and all sins whether stealing,gossiping or no matter how small you think a sin is.It is still punishable only by death.So if we are going to expel homosexuals we may as well expel liars,thieves gossipers and all other sinners.In this case the church will be empty. If Jesus was here do not think He would be seen with the major church officials who bash gays.No.Look at Mark 2 16"When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the "sinners" and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: "Why does he eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"Jesus was always with sinners.Not the self righteous."Mark 2 17"When Jesus heard this, he told them, "Healthy people don't need a doctor--sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners." So if you think you are better than a homosexual just because you sin in a "lighter"way.Think again.Humans may categorise sin but to God all sin is unacceptable.Let us not judge others because we sin differently from them.We are all sinners and are born that way(romans 5 12 and 5 19) That is why Jesus came and took all our wrongs and gave us all His righteousness so in the eyes of the Lord,We are made righteous not by our works/deeds but by faith(believing in Jesus only)..eph 2:9 romans 3 28 titus 3 5...and many more.This is the truth of the gospel.This is the good news.In the old testament,it depended on what you do but now in the new it depends not on you but what Jesus has done for you.Isn't that awesome news.Yes that is the GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL NOT YOU BUT HIM!!! Church.Listen.Do not be afraid to open the doors of the church to the gay.They will not contaminate you.There have been numerous accounts of converts I remember one of a lesbian of 25 years and it was all because of the church.We have a few videos in this page also.check it out.
